Thanks to everyone who was able to make my last minute Cancer Coming Out Party! Thank you to Rachel, Lauren and Cynthia for helping with the party! What a great way to kick off this journey with such love and support! Thank you to everyone for the flowers, cards, and donations! We raised $2,154 for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Fight! But most of all thank you to my husband who donated his amazing hair! The highest bidder (Danielle) bid $520 for us shave a “Ben Franklin” hair cut into Shawn’s hair! He still look amazing even without his beautiful hair – I don’t think I’m going to fair as well – thank goodness for wigs!

Kristine, Thanks for sharing your journey with us. My sister in law is a breast cancer survivor and was also diagnosed at a relatively young age ~32-33. She’s been cancer free now for about 5 years. She’s a mother of 4, one of which came as a cancer survivor. She has also gone thru the double mastectomy and reconstruction process.
